After a crazily hectic post-christmas workload, it’s finally started to get quieter again. What does that mean ? More bigger and better pixelations to feast your (square) eyes on !
After a well deserved Monday hiatus (a pixel artist has to sleep sometime, y’know), keep your eyes peeled for PixelBlock-ified versions of Vincent Valentine (FF7), a Xenonaut (Xenonauts), Lone Wolf and Cub, Raoul Duke and Dr Gonzo (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas), Ned Stark (A Game of Thrones) and many more !
And for my own choices, look out for pixel versions of a Brotherhood of Steel Paladin (Fallout), a redux of Boba Fett (Star Wars), M. Bison (Street Fighter), Mr. Saturn (Earthbound / Mother) and a Heartless (Kingdom Hearts) to be appearing throughout the week too.

Just thought I’d take the time to show off some concept sprites for an old top-down heist game I’ve been planning out, tentatively called “Thief!”.

Long work hours and no free time means less pixels for the blog !
I’m going to make an effort to get back on the 3-a-day schedule for the rest of the week, but don’t expect too much.
Purple Tentacle, the diabolically evil appendage from LucasArt’s much loved adventure game “Day of the Tentacle”, now rendered in a miniaturised 14 x 24 pixel resolution.
What’s a tentacle doing with a monobrow ? Beats me.
Oerba Yun Fang, the mysterious l’cie from Gran Pulse, close friend of Vanille and major character from “Final Fantasy XIII”, now turned into 15 x 24 pixel resolution sprite.

Requested by somebody, but not that person over there. The one next to the lady with the scarf. Yeah, him.
It’s been yet another blocky week chock full of pixelated goodness ! What with incredibly tiny versions of such characters as LeChuck, Sir Arthur, Link, F.L.U.D.D. and the recent milestone of over 2000 followers, I’d say things have been going rather well.
But alas, my work is never done - so let’s see what is coming up next week on the blog !
This week, look out for pixelations based on the movie versions of Hawkeye and Black Widow, the band 30 Seconds to Mars, Great Saiyaman (Dragonball Z), an updated Amateratsu (Okami), an updated Dragonborn (Skyrim), Nirvash Type thEnd from “Eureka Seven”, Bajo, Hex and Goose from Austrailian TV show “Good Game” and more !
And as always I have some of my own pixelations to show off this week, including an updated Sir Daniel Fortesque, Connor from “Assassin’s Creed 3”, JD and Turk from “Scrubs”, Ace Ventura, George Lucas and a special election-themed pixelation for Election Day !
I am still working on a big “sticker dump” to the Redbubble store, but don’t forget to submit any requests you may have for pixelated characters - I will start answering requests again next week !
