I never would have really thought punching a demon was an effective tactic, but then again I don’t shave my head and wear gigantic beads.
Bob Ross, prolific American painter and cheery former host of PBS’s much loved art series “The Joy Of Painting”, now given his own very special 35 x 27 PixelBlock tribute.
I even did a very tiny pixel version of one of his paintings for him to pose with, because he darn well deserves the extra attention.

This little space fellow was actually another concept avatar for that “BoomSplosion” game idea, but one that never quite panned out.
I resurrected him and changed him slightly as part of another concept for some game design students I’m working with, but alas he once again met a terrible fate.
Maybe one day I’ll find something for him to do …
Longtime followers may remember that I once talked about a multiplayer shooter concept called “BoomSplosion”.
Since I couldn’t program it, I stopped thinking about it too much. Anyway, this was an idea I had for a much simpler player avatar.
Simple, small and much easier to animate than that last one. Maybe I should try looking at it again …
Forgot to mention this yesterday on here : I recently took the liberty of redesigning a Twitter Avatar for the folks over at @asittingduck, and it now proudly sits over all of their tweets.

It’s Sunday ! It’s Update Time !
Good news : I took the time to create a rather snazzy new logo for these Sunday posts - so no more eyesores !
However, on the not so good news I’m not going to have much time to update the blog over the next few days due to a really awkward work schedule.
I’ll be taking Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday off from the blog - but after that, expect to see ever fanciful retro deresolutions based on Handsome Jack (Borderlands 2), Kat (Gravity Rush) and Hatsune Miku (Vocaloid), as well as a few of my own choices including Jedi Master Plo Koon (Star Wars), Inigo Montoya (The Princess Bride) and Ashitaka (Princess Mononoke) !
Stay tuned for a very brief Sunday Mail and the previously promised deresolutions of Julian Casablancas (The Strokes) and The Beastie Boys.
